For this reason, we share the grave concern created in international public opinion by the developments regarding the removal from office of International Criminal Court Prosecutor Kerim Han.
The process that followed Prosecutor Kerim Han's request for arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and then Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, on allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity, has — because of its timing — raised serious questions about the independence of the international justice system.

Justice must be a universal principle that gives confidence to victims, not one that protects the powerful.
